The full summit registration fee includes:

The following registration fees apply for BSG 2018 and are in GBP and inclusive of VAT.

BSG Taster Membership

The Taster Membership is applicable for all medical trainees up to ST3, medical students, foundation doctors, nurse students and non-clinical students studying for further degrees (such as PhD’s). Benefits of this scheme include access to a tailored microsite on the BSG website, with educational content and an informal mentoring scheme. Taster Members can also register for the whole of the Annual Meeting for just £75 including VAT. If you have trainees below ST3, or non-clinical students studying for a further degree, who would be interested in Taster Membership please promote this scheme to them (cost is £15 per year) and encourage them to attend the Annual Meeting.

Abstract Submitters

For successful abstract submitters. Abstract submitters will receive notification of their abstract on 13th April 2018. All accepted BSG 2018 presenting authors must register and pay by 23rd April 2018 to be included in the conference programme.

Changes, Substitutions and Cancellations of Registration

Notification of changes or cancellation must be made in writing and sent to the BSG Delegate Services Team at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . Substitutions/replacements can be made at any time and are subject to a £35.00 + VAT administration fee.

If a badge is lost or forgotten, an administrative fee of £15 will be charged for the reprint of the badge after identity verification (passport, driving license or other recognized identification documents).


Payment of registration fees should be made by through the online form by debit/credit card. We accept VISA and Mastercard.

Cancellation and refund policy

All applicable refunds will be made after the conference.
Bank service charges and all administration fees will be deducted from all conference registration refunds.

In the unlikely case of cancellation of the event, the organisers shall not accept liability for any consequential loss and shall have no liability to reimburse any other costs that may have been incurred, including transport costs, accommodation etc. Delegates are encouraged to take out travel insurance when making travel and accommodation arrangements.

By attending BSG 2018 you have consented to photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, web casts, promotional purposes, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by BSG 2018, its sponsors/exhibitors and its affiliates and representatives. Images, photos and/or videos may be used to promote similar events in the future.

BSG 2018 Travel Bursaries

The British Society of Gastroenterology offers four travel bursaries for overseas delegates who would find it financially difficult to attend the meeting to present their accepted abstract(s). The travel bursary consists of free registration for the whole meeting and travel support of up to £500, paid by bank transfer after the meeting on presentation of receipts and completion of the BSG's expenses form.

In order to qualify for a travel bursary, the applicant must fulfil the following criteria:

  • be listed as the presenting author of the submitted abstract
  • actually present the abstract at the meeting
  • be resident and work outside of the United Kingdom
  • be unable to afford to attend the meeting without the travel bursary

Applicants should upload a short statement with their abstract explaining why they need/deserve to be funded.

Abstract judges will not know whether a bursary application has been made. Applications will be reviewed by a panel of BSG Officers after the decisions have been made on which abstracts to accept. Only applications based on accepted abstracts will be considered.
